Refund Policy

We hope you are happy with your Bel Air Furniture purchase. If you change your mind, Consumers purchasing online normally have the right to withdraw from their purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods, subject to the exceptions described below.

Returns

You must notify us within 14 days of receiving your order if you wish to exercise your right of withdrawal. After notifying us, you must return the products without undue delay and no later than 14 days after your notification, unless we have agreed to collect them.

To start a return, please contact us at info@belair-furniture.com and include your name and order number. You do not need to provide a reason for exercising your statutory right of withdrawal.

You may inspect and handle the product only to the extent reasonably necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning, similar to what you would normally be able to do in a physical shop.

If a product has been handled more than necessary and this causes a reduction in value, we may deduct an appropriate amount from your refund where permitted by law.

Where reasonably possible, please return products in their original packaging and with all parts and accessories. Original packaging is strongly recommended for furniture because it helps prevent damage during return transport. The absence of original packaging does not by itself remove your statutory right of withdrawal.

Return Shipping Costs

Consumers are responsible for the direct cost of returning products where they were informed of this before placing the order.

Many of our furniture products cannot normally be returned by standard parcel post. Where this applies, an estimate of the return transport cost will be provided before purchase.

Please contact us before returning large furniture so that we can provide the correct return address and, where necessary, discuss suitable transport arrangements.

Refunds

If you validly withdraw from the entire order, we will refund the payments received from you for the returned goods, including the cost of our least expensive standard delivery method, where required by law.

If you selected a more expensive delivery method than our standard option, the additional delivery cost is not refundable.

Refunds will be made without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we receive your withdrawal notification.

For sales of goods, we may withhold the refund until we have received the products back or until you provide evidence that you have returned them, whichever occurs first.

Refunds will normally be made using the same payment method used for the original purchase unless otherwise agreed.

Made-to-Order and Personalised Products

The statutory right of withdrawal may not apply to products that are made to your specifications or are clearly personalised, such as furniture produced in non-standard dimensions, materials, upholstery, colours or other individual specifications.

A product is not automatically excluded from the right of withdrawal simply because it is manufactured after the order is placed. If a product is excluded because it is genuinely made to your specifications or clearly personalised, this will be made clear before you place your order.

Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Products

If a product arrives damaged, is defective, is missing parts or is different from what you ordered, please contact us at info@belair-furniture.com as soon as reasonably possible.

Please include your order number, a description of the issue and, where possible, photographs of the product and packaging.

Your statutory rights concerning defective or non-conforming products are separate from the 14-day right of withdrawal and are not limited by this Refund Policy.

Failed Delivery Attempts

If an order is returned to us because delivery could not be completed due to circumstances attributable to the customer, such as an incorrect delivery address or repeated failed delivery attempts where attendance was agreed, we may deduct reasonable additional transport or return costs from the refund where legally permitted.

This does not apply where the failed delivery was caused by Bel Air Furniture or the carrier.

Business Customers

The statutory 14-day right of withdrawal applies to Consumers and does not automatically apply to Business Customers.

Business Customer returns or cancellations are only accepted where agreed by Bel Air Furniture in writing or where required by law.
